2003 Portsmouth Festivities

John Jeffrey, who sailed a reconstruction of Captain Cook’s Endeavour for the BBC documentary Navigating Cook’s Endeavour, gave an illustrated talk at Old Portsmouth’s Square Tower .

A Festivities audience was given an insight into the world of Poets Wendy Cope and Lachlan Mckinnon when they performed readings of their works in Two Poets, One House.

Musical treats in the 2003 Festivities included the young and exciting Doric Quartet and Carmina Burana performed by the Portsmouth Choral Union.
