Ghost Walk: Spice Island

Friday 27June 9.30pm

Square Tower, Spice Island, Old Portsmouth

Ghost WalkPossibly the most haunted city on the South Coast, Portsmouth has a dark history of murder, mayhem, plotting and politics. Nowhere is this more apparent than in the old quarter of the city - a place known as Spice Island - the gateway to Europe. The tour brings to life drink-sodden sailors staggering through crooked alleyways searching the pleasure of ‘respectable’ ladies of the night. From the first terrorists to the murder of nobility, the dark streets of Old Portsmouth have witnessed the ‘comings and goings’ of countless historic figures. Stick close to your guides as they take you deep into the 900 years of maritime history and bring you face to face with some of these characters.

Your costumed tour guide will collect those brave enough from outside the Square Tower for a late night walk at 9.30pm, lasting approximately 90 minutes.

The tour will take place whatever the weather - so please bring suitable clothing.

Places are limited so booking is essential - Ghost Walk tickets
